Dolores was born in the beautiful Annapolis Valley in Eastern Canada, where she met her future husband, Donald Northrup. They were married in August, 1946.
With a deep desire to work for the Lord, she and Don both received their training for ministry at Zion Bible College, in East Providence, Rhode Island.
After pastoring several churches and travelling in evangelism for several years, they were called to missions work in Southern Africa, where they labored for seventeen years, returning to the United States in 1977.
They were led by the Lord to establish Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, in 1985.
Don went to be with the Lord in 1996. They had been married for forty-nine years and blessed with a son and two daughters, as well as six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Dolores held the position of Women’s Pastor in Dove Word Outreach Center for several years; teaching, encouraging and counseling the women.
She retired in 2004, but continues to be part of the church.
